Rentals
Who it is for
Staff (admins).
What you can do
- Add tenants with name, email, and phone.
- Search the tenant list.
- Create a reservation for a tenant and optional unit.
- Convert a reservation to a move-in.
- Move a tenant in or out.
- Record a cash, check, or credit payment on a lease.
- Cancel a reservation.
- Release expired holds.
- Add and read tenant notes.
How it works
- Route:
/admin/facilities/[id]/rentals(rendered bycomponents/storage/FacilityDashboard.tsxwith tab "rentals"). - The panel is
components/storage/RentalsPanel.tsx. - Tenants, reservations, leases, and move-in/out use
actions/rentals.ts. - Move-in claims the room with a status condition so two staff cannot occupy the same unit.
- Tenant notes use
addTenantNoteandlistTenantNotesinactions/tenantNotes.ts. - Expired holds use
expireDueReservationsinactions/expireReservations.ts. - Move-out marks the unit
needs_cleaningand cancels autopay if it is on.
Limits
- This tab is where staff search tenants, add a note, reserve, move in, move out, and record a payment.
- The tour does not open this tab, because it shows tenant names.
- Move-in requires the room to be vacant or reserved for that tenant.
- A tenant note is a new activity entry. It does not replace the contact notes field.
- Tenant search filters the list and does not remove anyone from the move-in dropdown.
